Tunc Akyurt is a well-experienced financial services and management consulting professional with 24+ years of in-depth experience around USA, EMEA & Asia both as a C-level executive including the CEO role and as a management consulting partner for various global corporate clients.
Following his experience at Capital One Bank in the USA, Tunc Akyurt has also worked at QNB Finansbank and Akbank, 2 of the 5 largest retail banks in Turkey with 10M+ retail customers. At QNB Finansbank, he was leading the whole retail banking business line including credit & debit cards. At Akbank, he was the Chief Strategy Officer directly reporting to CEO and the Board as an internal executive advisor. He was also in charge of CRM and New Products/Channels Development covering all customer segments.
In addition to his experience in banking, Tunc Akyurt has previously worked at McKinsey&Company for about 3 years in Istanbul Office, soon after he returned from USA. Following his experience in banking with QNB and Akbank, he returned to management consulting, this time as the managing partner in charge of financial services business at Peppers&Rogers Group in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Later on his career, Tunç Akyurt became the managing partner of N2Growth Istanbul Office, an American boutique consulting firm founded by Mike Myatt focusing on leadership development, cultural transformation and strategy consulting.
For the last 2 years, he has worked as Group CEO of a global financial services group serving its customers around digital banking, consumer finance and investment brokerage services across 18 countries in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
Tunç Akyurt holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering obtained from Bosphorus University and a Master’s degree in Management Systems Engineering obtained from Virginia Tech University, USA. He is married and has two daughters.
